Movement slows in the Wading for You series. Water rises. Time stretches. Attention wanders. These paintings and drawings are less about what happens than about how it feels to remain inside uncertainty. In both, figures pause, search, and endure without direction. Beckett’s line, “You must go on. I can’t go on. I’ll go on,” moves through the work not as narrative, but as an internal pressure that persists without resolution. The images hold that tension open, allowing doubt, persistence, and quiet resolve to exist together.
